Description
The Auto safe is a safety device designed to protect personnel from electric shock. Intended for use with the Auto Eject and the Auto Charge automatic battery chargers it may be installed whenever a “shoreline” is connected to provide 110/230 volt AC power to a vehicle.
The Auto Safe interrupts the power as soon as the shoreline is disconnected either automatically by the Auto Eject or manually by an operator, although manual ejection is not recommended.
A ground fault interrupter and a separate circuit breaker are mounted in the enclosure to disconnect the power from the load if leakage current or excess current is detected.
Note that the Auto Safe remains energised only if it detects current flowing into the vehicle. This current must be at least 10 amperes. Minimum currents are generally not a problem unless the input to the battery charger becomes disconnected and there are no other devices on the vehicle that require A.C. power.
Please ensure you specify 110v or 230v when ordering.
